The purpose and the legal basis for data processing
Your data is processed in order to share pertinent new information concerning the Una Europa Joint Bachelor in Sustainability (BASUS) in the form of a newsletter, sent periodically to your email address. The legal basis for the data processing constitutes the Article 6(1)(a) of GDPR – consent to the processing of personal data. The consent may be withdrawn at any point by sending an email to basus-info@uj.edu.pl.
Personal Data Retention Period
Your personal data will be retained for a period no longer than necessary to achieve the purpose stated in point §3 or until the moment of withdrawal of your consent.
Data Users
Your personal data will be used by authorised employees of Uniwersytet Jagielloński and associates that help us with the dissemination of information the reception of which you consented to (i.e. legal persons which manage the sending out of the newsletter for us). The messages you will receive are distributed with the help of the MailerLite platform, which ensures GDPR compliance. Your personal data may also be shared with legal entities authorised by law.
Processing laws
We guarantee full compliance and protection of your rights arising from the GDPR provisions, i.e. the right of access and to rectification, as well as (following the rules set out by GDPR) the right to erasure, restriction of processing, and withdrawal of consent at any moment. If you ascertain that the processing of your personal data violates the general data protection regulation, you may lodge a complaint with the Polish Data Protection Commissioner.
Disclosure of personal data and the consequence of failure to disclose
The disclosure of the personal data is voluntary and a failure to disclose personal data will result in our inability to contact you and share information with you.
Newsletter
May 25th, 2018 marks the beginning of the implementation period of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 made on April 27th, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (Data Protection Directive), abbreviated as GDPR.
In light of this regulation, we need your consent to process your personal data in order to share information pertaining the Una Europa Join Bachelor in Sustainability (BASUS) via a newsletter.
We will ensure that the content which will be shared with you will offer valuable and interesting input and information. The only personal data which we will be collecting and processing will be your email address.
